Only 2 more weeks until the WCWA National Championships

Only 2 weeks until the WCWA National Championships in Marietta, GA!!  Paired with USA Wrestling's Pan-Am Women's Wrestle Offs!!!!

Still time to come to Marietta, GA

There is still time to come to Marietta, GA and the Cobb County Civic Center to watch the 2020 WCWA National Tournament as well as watching the Team USA Pan-Am Women's Wrestle Offs.  There are going to be many top teams from all divisions of Women's Wrestling descending on Marietta, GA and the WCWA National Tournament hosted by Life University on February 7th and 8th.  The top 3 ranked teams in the most recent NAIA Polls will all be in attendance with Life University and Campbellsville University, and the University of Jamestown.  Additionally many of the top NCAA Schools will be attending with 5 of the top 10 ranked schools there - Adrian University, Tiffin University, Presbyterian, Augsburg, and Gannon.  This will make for a great tournament and some really great match ups.  These wrestlers will be competing for All American recognition, but also looking to secure a spot in the 2020 Olympic Team Trials.  The winners of the WCWA National Tournament will become qualifiers for the 2020 Olympic Team Trials in State College, PA in April.

As if that was exiting enough for a tournament...USA Wrestling decided to show their support of the WCWA National Tournament by also conducting their Pan-Am Games wrestle-off in conjunction with the WCWA National Tournament.  This means there will be Senior level athletes competing for the chance to represent Team USA in the Pan-Am Games and try to qualify that weight for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.  This event will include wrestle-offs for 3 different weight classes.  This means that there will be competitors from 50kg, 53kg, and 57kg all in Marietta for February 8th.  Team USA announced the match ups earlier in January when they announced that at 50kg we would get to see Whitney Conder versus Sarah Hildebrandt.  They will wrestle a best 2-3 series in the late afternoon.  At 53kg we will get to see Katherine Shai versus Haley Augello in the morning, with the winner of that match getting a best 2-3 series with Jacarra Winchester.  At 57kg we will have Alli Ragan versus Helen Maroulis in the morning.  With the winner of that match taking on Jenna Burkert in the best 2-3 series that afternoon.  This is a great opportunity to see 2 different World Champions as well as numerous world medals all compete with our top level college athletes all in one location.

Come to Marietta, GA on February 7/8 to watch a great show!!
